Justice or Injustice

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: Proverbs 6:16-20

A JUST GOD
There are a number of things the Bible makes clear that God hates, and two of them are injustice and unrighteousness. Both terms basically have the same meaning, and we will discuss these in our study today.

The God of heaven is a just God, and a God of truth. He demands that people, businesses and governments always be honest, and not take advantage of others. Unfortunately, the world we find ourselves living in is just the opposite of this, and what our Lord desired for us when He created this world.

Looking back in history we see that many nations, and peoples of the world were mistreated, abused, and taken advantage of. This mistreatment is the reason why the pilgrims came to this country, and because of our Bill of Rights, and the constitution every individual’s rights “were” protected under the law. Today we see our God given rights slowly slipping out of our grasp.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Thessalonians 5:21-23

“CANCEL CULTURE”
What does cancel culture mean? Cancel culture refers to the popular practice of withdrawing support for (canceling) public figures and companies after they have done or said something considered objectionable or offensive. (Copied). Objectionable or offensive to who, my friend, and who is supposed to be the final say in these matters?

Throughout our country today, and frankly for quite some time, we have seen an eroding of our rights. More recently we have seen protesters, rioters & their groups try to burn down, or ruin everything that is America.

One of the terms people use for this aggression, especially the mainstream media is “Cancel Culture” among others. If this violence and destruction of these groups continue I am afraid it will get much, much worse.

The Bill of Rights & our beloved constitution may I say, are on the “hit list” primarily from those with liberal morals, and values. “Cancel Culture” is only part of an organized agenda to turn America into a socialized country. A country where God, people of faith, and churches, are no longer even allowed to exist. Just look online right now in view of the pandemic, and you will see that pastors who have opened their churches without “permission” from their liberal Mayors, are getting arrested. Unfortunately, this is just part of what is to come with the persecution of Christians and the church upon us.

“Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.” 2 Timothy 3:12

Why is it that people do these things? A socialist nation is much less likely to have any interest in the morals and values of Christians, which is the underlying reason for much of what is going on today. People who hate God will be the first ones to push for a global nation, rather than being the independent leader of the free world.

This all began years ago when the Supreme Court legally allowed the murder of unborn babies, and the removal of the Bible and prayer from our public schools and colleges. Once it began it became a lot easier to brainwash the up and coming generations to see it “their way.” The way without God! Let’s see how having it their way helps them on judgment day, my friends.

One of the favorite ideas of a liberal society is that we all evolved from nothing. This is only one more strike against a Holy God who WILL have his way in the end when it is all said and done. Their so called “theory” of evolution, as well as all the other false ideas all end with one thing. And it is the thing they want the most! REMOVE GOD FROM “ALL” SOCIETIES. Not just America.

SATAN’S AGENDA
What we need to understand is that this mindset of man today is instigated from Satan himself. Satan, the one who tried to overthrow God right from the start. When Satan deceived Adam and Eve, his job did not end.  Now, his job was to keep the Messiah that God spoke about in Genesis 3:15, from coming and defeating him. Satan’s primary goal in keeping Jesus from the cross, is to take over for God himself! But another of his main purposes is wrecking lives. Yes, my friends, your life and mine, your soul and mine! If Satan could keep the Messiah from being born, or kill him, or get him to disobey God after he was born, then he would win the battle of the ages. This is Satan’s agenda! But God’s plan was for Jesus to die upon the cross for all of mankind. Oh, what a good God we serve!

GOD’S PLAN
If you think the chaos in our world today & the blatant disregard for human life is something new, think again, it is not! Our first society became so corrupt that God had to destroy everyone from the face of the earth except Noah and his family. We see in scripture that in those days of sin and pain God chose a people to be his own. He began with Abraham.

Satan knew then he had to begin an attack on God’s people & Israel as part of his plan to stop the coming of the Messiah. After God had promised Israel a land forever, Satan thought if he could destroy Israel, he would show God’s word as untrue. But we know God’s word can NEVER be proven untrue! By Satan, or anyone.

Our Bible tells us this throughout, not only of Satan’s attacks, but of others who have tried to destroy the Jews and, or Israel. We know today that all such plans have failed.

Let us look at one such plan in the days of Queen Esther. The book of Esther tells us of Haman’s plot to destroy all the Jews. In reality, this was the work of Satan, once again attempting to keep the promised Messiah from coming. Satan knew then as he does now, that God has promised to destroy him through the Messiah. So thru time he has constantly tried to find ways to keep the Messiah from coming.

I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; He will crush your head, and you will strike His heel.  Genesis 3:15

When Jesus was finally born, Satan devised a plan to destroy all the baby boys two years old, and younger.  If he could make sure that baby Jesus was killed, that would insure him victory and God a liar. Satan’s plan was to use King Herod
to carry out this wicked plot & sadly, it was carried out. The cries of many mothers were heard, and their anguish and pain would be felt throughout time.

But God had his own plan, and his plan made sure Jesus would not be part of the slaughter of babies put upon the land by Herod. God had Joseph take baby Jesus and Mary down into Egypt for a short period of time until it was safe for Joseph to return home to Nazareth.

Failing to stop the linage, and failing to destroy the Messiah, Satan then came up with another plan. He would tempt Jesus in the wilderness for forty days. He had hoped this effort would cause Jesus to be disqualified from being the Lamb of God who would then one day take away the sin of the world.

Having failed again, Satan made another attempt to keep Jesus from the cross. Matthew tells us in 16:21-23: From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.  Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.  But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

We too would have the same feelings as those of Peter, but man’s ways, are not God’s ways.  God knows best in every situation for all of us and we need to trust him. We know Jesus did prevail & always prevails. We remember an earlier statement he made:

Matthew 16:13-18 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?  And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.  He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?  And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.  And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.  And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The plan God ordained from the beginning was accomplished. God judged the sin of the world on his only son, as he was the Lamb of God from the foundation of the world.

1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

John 19:28-30 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.  Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.  When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Although Jesus died on the cross he was not defeated as some supposed.  Satan wanted to make sure he did not get out of the tomb, so a large stone blocked the door. The Roman soldiers were stationed there to guard the tomb, so no one could come and steal the body and claim he had arisen. But all the efforts of man were futile, because God never fails in what he intends to accomplish.

So, on the third day after Jesus’ death there was some shocking news.

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.  His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:  And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.  And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.  He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.  And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told youMatthew 28:2-7

Jesus has come, lived, died, arose from the dead and gone back to heaven with the promise he will come again and receive all who trust him.

For two thousand years people have come and gone, but the wickedness of man is as great now as it has ever been. We absolutely see this in the societies we have today. Injustice, unrighteousness, and wickedness of every sort abounds. And even though Jesus came and paid for the sins of the world, very few seem to be interested, or even care about their sin.

Over time now we’ve seen the rise of unjust lawyers and judges, increasing greed and hate from men, crooked politicians, and yes even some corrupt police officers. Many sell their soul for filthy lucre, or to make a name for themselves. Too often justice in the court room is not carried out. The helpless who cannot afford high priced lawyers are taken advantage of. Yes, we have some of the most wicked people imaginable in our country and throughout the world today.

For those of us who trust in the Lord we know all of this will end one day once God is in charge of our earth once again.

God said about Abraham: Genesis 18:19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

Proverbs 21:3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

Isaiah 9:7  Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.

Leviticus 19:15 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honor the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbor.

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers. Romans 1:29

Even though our world seems to constantly be in turmoil, there is forgiveness for man if he just simply asks for it. It is available to everyone, and salvation and eternal life are a free gift from God to those who call upon His name. Won’t you ask Jesus into your heart today?

Heavenly Father, we thank you dear Lord for all you are, and all you mean to us and our country. Please forgive us Lord, and give us your strength and protection as we live in such a fallen world. It is in your Holy precious name we pray. Amen
